Custom card packaging
How we help our customers
IC Group helps card issuers create branded card carriers, collateral, and packaging that support cardholder onboarding and activation. Our team manages design, production, and fulfillment while accounting for branding, budget, and postal requirements.
Packaging design
IC Group helps card issuers develop custom packaging that balances brand presentation, card protection, production requirements, and cost. Options range from sustainable mailers to premium multi-layer boxes, with design features including premium paper stocks, engineered folds, reveal concepts, soft-touch lamination, embossing, specialty closures, and other tactile finishes.
Each packaging solution is designed to protect cards during transit, accommodate automated fulfillment equipment where required, and meet postal or courier shipping requirements. Packaging can also support cardholder onboarding through QR codes, activation instructions, benefit messaging, loyalty information, referral programs, and app-integration guidance.
Card collateral
IC Group designs and produces card collateral, including carriers, welcome letters, envelopes, inserts, activation labels, brochures, and other printed materials. Our lithographic and digital printing capabilities support accurate brand colors, variable data, specialty finishes, and security tints.
Collateral is engineered for automated inserting, sorting, and postal handling, with consideration for paper weight, fiber direction, folds, adhesives, die cuts, and card weight. Templates account for variable names, addresses, barcodes, window envelopes, personalization placement, and folding tolerances to reduce production errors and maintain match-mail accuracy, ensuring each card is paired with the correct cardholder information.
US manufacturing
Domestic manufacturing can reduce international transit and customs delays, improve communication, and provide greater flexibility when demand changes. Local production also supports faster replenishment of carriers, envelopes, inserts, and other card collateral when inventory needs change unexpectedly.
U.S.-based production provides greater visibility into quality control, color management, press checks, material specifications, security procedures, and production practices. This can simplify oversight for compliance, risk, and brand teams.
Lower costs
IC Group can use aggregate purchasing volume and supplier relationships to help clients access stronger pricing for cards, collateral, materials, and related services. Program costs can also be reduced by selecting efficient materials, consolidating production, and eliminating duplicate setup across multiple vendors.
A single-source approach can reduce internal labor spent coordinating card manufacturers, printers, personalization providers, and fulfillment partners. Fewer handoffs also reduce the risk of mismatched specifications, rework, and cross-vendor troubleshooting.
